In China, we proudly represent a network of 28 state-of-the-art, certified facilities. Our local Shanghai office assumes a central role in ensuring the seamless operation of these facilities. Here are some key functions that our Shanghai office oversees:

Additionally, we possess laboratory apparatus accreditation by ITS (International Testing Service), as well as certifications from WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) and C-PAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism). These certifications underscore our dedication to excellence, ethical practices, and security in the sourcing process.

At Salsa, we hold our key suppliers to the highest standards of ethical and responsible production practices. To this end, we mandate that our key suppliers become certified by the Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production (WRAP) program, as endorsed by The American Apparel and Footwear Association.

The WRAP program is a factory-based certification and independent monitoring initiative designed to ensure that participating manufacturers consistently adhere to twelve essential WRAP production principles. These principles encompass recognized standards for labor practices and workplace conditions. Specifically, the WRAP principles encompass:

  • Prohibitions on Forced Labor: Ensuring that no form of forced labor is tolerated within the manufacturing process.

  • Child Labor: Strictly prohibiting the use of child labor in any capacity.

  • Workplace Abuses: Preventing any form of workplace abuses or mistreatment of employees.

  • Job Discrimination: Promoting equal employment opportunities and prohibiting any form of discrimination based on gender, age, race, or other protected categories.

  • Compliance with Customs and Environmental Laws: Upholding all applicable customs and environmental laws and regulations.

Our partner factories are subjected to rigorous unannounced inspections carried out by independent monitors accredited by WRAP multiple times each year. These inspections are conducted to ensure ongoing compliance with these principles, fostering an environment of transparency, accountability, and ethical production.

By requiring our key suppliers to obtain WRAP certification, we underscore our commitment to responsible sourcing and ethical practices throughout our supply chain.
